Genesis
The IIMA Doctoral Colloquium is an event initiated in 2008 by the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) students of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad
The main objectives of the event are to
initiate networking amidst management researchersshare knowledge and learn from each other
explore emerging areas of research in management
Apart from sessions wherein students share their research and get feedback from the academic community at IIMA, the colloquium features workshops and panel discussions on emerging issues in management research, with the aim of enriching the future generation of academicians. The colloquium involves extensive participation of faculty members from IIMA as well as from other top management institutes as reviewers, presenters and members of jury. The doctoral colloquium, an endeavor from the doctoral students of IIMA, signals a small yet significant effort towards attaining leadership in business management research.
The event logo represents the sprit and joy of research through an abstract representation of Auguste Rodin’s ‘The Thinker’ depicting intellectualism. The coloured smoke streams represent intellectual energy leading to the creation of new knowledge.
